Iowa

There's something comforting about the way you can depend on rain to come down in Iowa. When you need it the most, it's there. Even the lightning, completely silent, is a promise that the rain is coming. The view I have from my little porch is great.

Iowa is sticky. It's hot. It's certainly beautiful. The storms can't be tamed.

This is some of what I have learned so far from being here.

Also. I just heard a bird chirp. It's 11:34 P.M. He must be as curious and antsy as I am.

The Beginning

Hello all.

So, this blogging experience isn't new...but this blog is. I've had problems in the past keeping up with a blog. Perhaps it's because I never had a direct topic... but this time I do.

I go to Stephens College. It's an all women's college.

Sometimes this can be pretty unfortunate, but for the most part, I really love it here. I've got one year left before I graduate into the real world. Too scary to think about...

So I'm in my second year of study. This summer I'll be an actress an Okoboji Summer Theatre, which is the summer stock theater that coordinates with Stephens College. I'll be playing...

and I'm in two children's shows, Fantastic Mr. Fox and Just So Stories. I love kids... it'll be fun. :)

Sometimes I feel like the blind is leading the blind in this whole acting thing. I mean...who are we to put a rules or guidelines on creativity. Just let me go and do.

And...that's all I have for this first post. It'll get better.
